Michael J. Chiu, M.D.
Dr. Chiu was born in Midland Michigan. He went to college at the University of Michigan and attended the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor Michigan. He graduated in 1988. He did his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School from 1988 to 1991. He had an academic appointment as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at University of Texas Southwestern (USTW) Medical School from 1991 to 1997. He was been in Private Practice in Irving Texas from 1997 through 2010. He returned to the Internal Medicine faculty of UTSW on January 1, 2011.
Dr. Chiu lives in Irving. He is married to Dr. Adriana Cano, a nephrologist (kidney specialist.) They have two sons, two cats, and a dog.
