If you have an emergency, or think you might have an emergency, then please call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Room! You do NOT need your insurance companies permission to go to an Emergency Room if you believe you might be having a medical emergency.

Please call the office at 214-645-7995 for routine and urgent matters during regular business hours 8 AM-5 PM Monday through Friday.
For medication refills, please have your pharmacy FAX a refill request to our office. Please allow at least 24 hours for medication refill authorizations.

After Hours Contact Procedure
After 5 PM and on weekends, please call the main office number above and you will get in touch with the University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) Medical Center outpatient clinic practices answering service. The answering service will page the On-Call Doctor (one of my numerous new practice partners most likely but there is a chance that Dr. Chiu will be the On-Call Doctor also) who will then return your call and try to help or advise you. Please do not call the On-Call Doctor for non-emergency issues or medical refill requests that can be safely or more appropriately handled the next business day. Keep in mind the On-Call Doctor will likely not have easy access to your medical records when you call.
If you think you have an emergency then please go to the nearest emergency room as mentioned above.
Email/Electronic Communication
UTSW has an patient electronic communication system called My Chart that connects securely and privately with the UTSW electronic medical record and allow you to communicate electronically with Dr. Chiu and his office staff. Direction on how to sign up electronically can be sent to you if you are interested in proceeding. Please look at the pamphlet below and call the office for further information on how to sign up.
